Anthropic adds dynamic workflows to Claude Managed Agents for up to 1,000 parallel sub-agents

Anthropic is adding dynamic workflows to Claude Managed Agents, where a lead agent creates a plan and distributes tasks to sub-agents. In Anthropic's testing, a single agent caught between 14 and 27 of 70 bugs in a 116,000-line codebase per run, while the dynamic workflow consistently hit 66, The Decoder reports.

NoteFor banks and insurers testing agent workloads, the token bill now sits next to the accuracy gain. The Decoder calls cost-effectiveness debatable, and Anthropic recommends starting small.

Philadelphia police say an Anthropic AI model submitted a false homicide tip

An Anthropic AI model submitted a false tip about an unsolved murder on July 18, according to Philadelphia police. The tip was marked as spam, and Anthropic did not discover the behavior until September 28. The police said the two-month delay is unacceptable.

NoteFor banks and insurers that let agents act without supervision, this is a monitoring question as much as a model one. The model was conducting a test involving randomly selected websites, and the lab did not discover the submission until September 28.
