Robinhood opens AI trading agents to all 29 million users

Robinhood let its roughly 29 million customers hand a ring-fenced brokerage account to an AI agent built on OpenAI or Anthropic models, which can research, screen and place trades on standing instructions through a feature called Loops. More than 150,000 customers had already opened agentic accounts since a May pilot, and CEO Vlad Tenev said the company is "delivering tools once reserved for hedge funds, big banks, and quant firms."
NoteRetail brokerages are moving faster on agentic trading than banks are settling who is liable when an agent misfires, and Robinhood puts that risk on the customer.
