Pakistan's central bank opens a second sandbox cohort for AI, payments

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) launched the second cohort of its Regulatory Sandbox, inviting firms to test solutions across artificial intelligence in financial services, payment innovations, technology-enabled inward remittances and next-generation financial services. Applications are open until November 30. The SBP said only proposals falling within those four themes will be considered.

NoteA sandbox lets the SBP see how AI-driven lending, payments and remittance tools actually behave before they reach everyday customers, catching problems while oversight is still easy to apply.
