Reco raises $55 million more for AI agent security, brings total to $140 million

Reco raised an additional $55 million on September 29, including a strategic investment from AT&T Ventures and new investors Forestay and Quadrille Capital. It brings Reco's total funding to $140 million, and Reco cited a Gartner prediction that the average Fortune 500 enterprise will have more than 150,000 agents in use by 2028, up from fewer than 15 in 2025.
NoteGartner's forecast is a governance problem as much as an adoption number: banks and insurers running their own agent pilots will face the same sprawl of permissions and identities that pushed AT&T to back a vendor built to track what its agents can touch.
