BBVA tops eurozone banks for AI as Evident's average bank score rose 26%
BBVA ranked first among eurozone banks and third among all European banks in the Evident AI Index. BBVA said seventy-five percent of employees use generative AI on a recurring basis, saving around 2.4 hours a week, and that it is accelerating software development with productivity improvements of close to 28%. Evident said the banks it assessed advanced almost three times faster over the past year than in the previous three years.
NoteBBVA's own numbers, seventy-five percent of staff using generative AI weekly and a 28% productivity improvement in coding, give other banks a concrete benchmark for what the 26% rise in Evident's average AI score actually looks like inside a top performer.
