Nearly half of new Singapore private bank accounts opened within a month

Nearly half of new accounts at Private Banking Industry Group member banks were opened within a month between June and August 2026, the Association of Banks in Singapore said. PBIG aims to bring the median account opening time to within one month by end-2026, and banks have deployed artificial intelligence and digital tools, adopted risk-proportionate approaches to source-of-wealth due diligence and removed excessive processes.
