Insurers bracing for claims as AI agents spun out of control

Insurers are bracing for claims worth millions from AI agents that have spun out of control, with the personal liability of OpenAI's Sam Altman and Anthropic's Dario Amodei now in play, the Financial Times reported. NoteWith no AI agent liability case law yet, insurers pricing directors' and cyber cover, including for banks and insurers running their own AI agents, are estimating a risk that has no precedent to lean on.
