NSRC will develop an AI app to check suspicious accounts and links
Anwar Ibrahim announced that the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) will develop an AI application for checking suspicious phone numbers, bank accounts and links before financial transactions. He made the announcement while tabling Budget 2027 on 9 October. The budget speech did not specify a funding allocation, launch date or technical details for the application.
NoteThe public can already check some of this through PDRM's Semak Mule portal. The new app's scope is not yet specified.
