Sumsub opens a call for members of a new APAC AI agent council
Sumsub is recruiting founding advisors for a Sumsub Agentic AI Council covering Asia-Pacific, which will draw on policy, academia, industry and civil society to develop guidance on AI agent identity, delegated authority, interoperability and auditability. Its first working group will focus on agentic commerce, including who is accountable when an AI agent acts on a consumer's or business's behalf, ahead of a first meeting planned for the first quarter of 2027.
NoteThis is an industry group writing its own rules before regulators do, the same pattern seen in agentic commerce and payments elsewhere this year. Worth watching for compliance teams as an early signal of what an AI agent accountability framework could look like before it becomes law.
