Anthropic had Claude produce roughly 180 million lines of proof code for open-source libraries

Anthropic's Frontier Red Team, working with partner Theorem, let Claude take over the proof work, The Decoder reports. The model produced roughly 180 million lines of mathematical proof code in just a few weeks, drawing on test programs from 123 open-source libraries. The proofs only hold under strict conditions, including a specific processor architecture and inputs under 64 MB.
NoteThe Decoder says formal verification was long reserved for extreme cases like Airbus avionics software, and Anthropic wants it to become as routine as standard testing.
