Mastercard showcased AI agents that make multiple payments under a single budget
Mastercard showcased its Agent Pay for Machines solution at Cloudflare Connect, where the agent completed nine payments across two providers without separate accounts, API keys or invoices. The solution builds on x402, an open protocol, and providers collect digitally signed payment vouchers and redeem them later. Mastercard has opened early access for developers to build and test AI agent payment applications.
