OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Terra has half the API price of GPT-5.6 Terra
OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Terra on Oct. 26, and its standard API prices are 50% lower than GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol, according to the release. Input tokens cost $1 per million and output tokens $5, compared to $2 and $10 for Claude Sonnet 5.5.
NoteThe company says the model is practical for automating high-volume work such as reading invoices and entering their information into accounting software.
