Models & Labs

Meta's Muse Wonder models are its first attempt at a frontier model

Meta's Superintelligence Lab released Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on Monday. According to Meta's testing, both achieve comparable benchmark scores to Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra. Wonder will cost $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens through the Meta Model API, while Wonder Full will only be available to Muse Code subscribers.

NoteFor teams weighing model costs, TechCrunch reports that Wonder is roughly equivalent in cost to GPT-6 Sol or Opus 5.5. The benchmark comparison comes from Meta's own testing.

Rules & Regulators

Senate bill would establish an AI Safety Board within Commerce

Democrats Mark Warner, Brian Schatz and Andy Kim introduced the Artificial Intelligence Risk Management and Security Act of 2026. The bill would establish an AI Safety Board within the Department of Commerce. It would be charged with developing a process to perform technical evaluations of the capabilities of AI tools that constitute threats to U.S. national and economic security.

NoteFor bank risk teams, the bill is worth tracking, though PYMNTS says any AI safety bill is likely to face pushback from the White House.
